ON THE JOB TRAINING: DENR- PENRO / RAILYN UMBALAY
Our first day as on the job trainees (ojt) at the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO). Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed and officially introduced to the office, by the head officer of PENRO, In our first day we took the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the office. Since, we did not have specific tasks assigned yet, we used the time to explored the office.
On my second day of on-the-job training (OJT), we were assigned specific tasks in different sections. I was assigned to the Technical Section, where I worked alongside my fellow OJTs, and others were assigned to the Planning Section.
I had a moderate workload on a Thursday. Instead of allowing myself to relax and enjoy the spare time. I chose to help my fellow ojt's. They were busy scanning numerous files which was tedious and time consuming.
On Friday, our office held a Tree Hugging event, which was organized by the Conservation Development Section (CDS), specifically the Enhanced National Greening Program, to which I was assigned.
