ON THE JOB TRAINING (OJT) - DENR - PENRO / RAILYN UMBALAY
MY SECOND WEEK DOCUMENTARY
RAILYN E. UMBALAY
BSIS 4B
In my second week of on-the-job training (OJT), we had an orientation that covered what the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) was all about, as well as our specific roles and responsibilities as OJTs within their office.
During the orientation, we discussed the agency's rules and regulations, mission, and vision and our task. Although the orientation was delayed - ideally, it should have taken place on our first days or first week of OJT - we were thankful that the DENR staff still managed to accommodate us despite their busy schedules.
Following the orientation, my tasks remained consistent from the next day until Friday. I assisted the supervisor of the Conservation Development Section (CDS) with various tasks, including encoding documents, files, reports, and data into the computer, printing necessary documents, and completing other tasks as assigned. The supervisor thanked the OJTs, including me, for our help in making their work easier.
